Eat Out Manila is a newly-launched online reservations system for Manila’s top fine dining restaurants. Basically, what this means is that you don’t have to fall in line anymore or make telephone calls to make a booking for some of the city’s most sought-after tables. All you have to do is just to log on to their website at eatoutmanila.com or access the mobile app which is initially available through the Apple iTunes store and soon in Android.
Inaki Lamata, co-founder of Eat Out Manila, said the site is based on an internationally-recognized restaurant reservations system that is operational in US, Europe and Asia.Diners will be able to lock in a table of their choice in real-time, which is much like choosing a seat in an airplane.
“The motivation behind this app springs from personal experience. With the growing list of things you can do remotely through your mobile phone, we thought it’s about time we had something for table reservations from which a food-loving country such as the Philippines will greatly benefit,” Lamata noted.
In a nutshell, here are the main features of this innovation which you can access through your smartphone or via the web interface:
– restaurant booking is free and can be made in 3 clicks
– table reservations are confirmed instantly as long as you give preferred date, time and number of persons who will be dining. Cancellations can also be made at the last minute
– restos are easily searchable by name, cuisine and location
– Login is easy and can also be made via Facebook
Lamata said at present, there are already 100 restos affiliated with Eat Out and the list is growing. Some of these are Rambla, Lulu, Vyne, The Glass Door, Las Flores, Abe, Crisostomo, Mango Tree, and Murray and D’Vine. Fastfood establishments are not included in the list because they don’t have a reservations system.
Users who get the app or register through the site will also be entitled to freebies and discounts to food and drinks from partner establishments. For more details and news on upcoming promos, check out the official Facebook page and Instagram account @EatOutManilaPH
