UNIQLO’s Manila Global Flagship Store in Glorietta 5 just celebrated its first year anniversary of successful operations. It has introduced several innovative offerings for its customers and collaborated with local artists who are in tune with the brand’s LifeWear Philosophy.
Our attention was caught by UTme! – UNIQLO’s digital printing service which lets you do your own design on their t-shirts and blank tote bags. Embed your own photos, texts and special effects on your chosen canvas. Definitely a great gift idea for the coming holiday season!
Here’s how it works:
1. Buy the item in the store. This may include UTme! basic t-shirt, kids’ color packaged t-shirt or large/mini tote bag.
2. Assisting staff will start UTme! app in the in-house device. After that, you can create your own design in the device. If you want to use a picture from your personal file, you can send it to the UT me! device via a designated email address supplied by the store.
3. Make sure you follow the Design Guidelines which means no inappropriate or vulgar contents or infringement on the copyright of others. No photos of celebrities, licensed cartoon characters or brand names.
4.When you’ve finished with your design sign an agreement form, pay and claim at the counter.
As easy as that!
For those who don’t have time to make their own design, UNIQLO has partnered with 10 local artists for its #UTmeArtPH collection. It features artworks from young designers Happy Garaje, Rob Cham, Isabel Weber, Manix Abrera, Ev Yu, Mika Bacani, Otto Bjornik, Myka Arnado, Auggie Fontanilla and Soleil Ignacio. Their art shirts come with a gift card where personal messages can be written on,
Aside from this, UNIQLO has also collaborated with world-renowned furniture designer Kenneth Cobonpue and homegrown designer brand Celeste Cycles. Their products are on display at the flagship store.
