Last seen in Prince William & Princess Kate’s wedding, famous footballer David Beckham has signed up as global brand ambassador for Samsung, particularly in its role as Worldwide Olympic Partner for Wireless Communications Equipment of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
At the official signing at the Savoy Hotel in London, Samsung – through its Vice President & Head of Worldwide Sports Marketing Gyehyun Kwon – acknowledged Beckham’s London roots and his role in bringing the Olympic Games to his home city.
“David has been actively taking part in a number of initiatives to help young people around the world to enjoy a better life, while Samsung’s London 2012 marketing campaign will also place great importance on the value of engaging youth. And to this end, we’re delighted that David will be supporting our goal to extend the Olympic Games spectator experience to fans throughout the world using our leading smart mobile technology,” Mr. Kwon said.
On the local front, Samsung Electronics Philippines Corp. (SEPCO) recently launched its new mobile phones for summer 2011 in mall activities that consisted of phone exhibits and entertainment programs for the public.

Plus, users can customize their social media experience the way they want it.
Samsung Corby II was also launched with Corbyville 2: Fashion Nation, whole-day event set up with a hair and makeup booth, a styling closet by Forever 21, a coffee shop with Wi-Fi access and a photo booth brought the Corby II phone to life, highlighting its faster Wi-Fi connectivity (WiFi b/g/n) and stylish Form Factor (3.14” screen and 1.17 cm thin in size).
