iPod Touch from My Sweet (Adapted from Blog-O-Rama) The last iPod I had was the Mini, so you can just imagine the excitement I had when I got the 16 GB iPod Touch from my Sweetheart for a gift last New Year's. It was an elegant black box with the picture of John Lennon in it. Inside was one of the most beautiful machines I've held in a long time, black with chrome glass in front and a mirror-like silver at the back. Most of all, My Sweet had the words "Please keep me close to you.." especially inscribed at the back which all the more took my breath ... Continue Reading...
Why teh Sony Ericsson is this blogger’s phone of choice for Christmas
Among my friends, Christmas is usually the best time to upgrade or change cellphones. It's either because of The Bonus or the Good Samaritans among our loved ones. Luckily, am not pining for a new one. My present mobile baby, the Sony Ericsson K800i, was something I bought a little more than three months go and have been happy with it since. Before this, I owned the Samsung D900 whose form factor I absolutely loved. It was Ultra Slim and it was black which meant it was non-existent to the eyes of pickpockets when placed in my bag. Is technology anti-family?
Here's a reprint of my Manila Bulletin Technews Blog-O-Rama column for 26 November 2007: The title of this article is inspired by a friend who commented that buying her son a Sony PSP Portable didn’t do them good after all. This was not actually the first-time that ... Continue Reading...

WikiPilipinas: Call for contributions
My Blog-O-Rama column in Manila Bulletin this week deals with "WikiPilipinas and today's knowledge revolution." If you belong to the older generation (like me), do you remember the time when passing a term paper entailed being holed up in the library for hours? Poring through thousands of titles was a great challenge as finishing the paper itself. Of course during this time, buying a 24- or 30-volume encyclopedia was a status symbol in Filipino families, much like owning a piano or having a member of the family work in Saudi or Southern California. Who would ... Continue Reading...
