Zoom in! That's moi with my favorite travelling backpack at the moment, the Crumpler Vegetable From Inside the Mountain. I don't know why some Crumpler bags have these really long names but I've used this label long enough to appreciate the quality and thoughtfulness that goes with each product. In the case of this bag in review, I really like it for its use of light materials which doesn't make carrying it a big burden. This is the front view of the bag with all three components. There's a sizeable pouch for holding shoes , shirts or whatever you like and a small ... Continue Reading...
Samsung Galaxy S iii Mini : P14,990
Last night, we had the chance to attend the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S III Mini which will be retailed at only P14,990 starting February. Methinks this is ideal for smartphone users who have always dreamt of owning the Galaxy S3 but were put off by the steep price. As its name implies, the S iii mini is smaller, cheaper but performs the same fully-loaded functions. Some of the specs we spotted on the S iii Mini: latest Android operating system, Jelly Bean 4.0" WVGA Super AMOLED Display Available colors: marble white, pebble blue, garnet red and titanium ... Coloud headphones + giveaway!
I certainly felt like a teenager using these Coloud headphones. First off, the color is very attractive - hence, it's something that you can fashionably wear over your head. And guess what, am giving two readers a chance to own these sassy headphones for the New Year just by following our simple mechanics via Rafflecopter. Here's a look ... Continue Reading...

Even though China has put a mark on its new passports stating its territorial claim over the South China Sea (ouch!), this hasn't prevented us from looking at their new products in the market. Let's begin with the ubiquitous cellphones. Launched yesterday was the Ascend D1 quad XL, a quadcore smartphone running on Android Ice Cream Sandwich (version 4) which promises speed, power and long battery life. What makes this high-end phone worth looking into is its good price point: only P18,000 for something that delivers turbo-charged computer prowess in your pocket. ... Continue Reading...
Nokia apps: my Top 5
Nokia was the first cellphone I ever used and with the inception of mobile apps in the free market, they've come a long way. A few months ago, I got the chance to review the dual-SIM Nokia Asha 202 phone and I had fun trying out some of the applications. The Finnish brand is still one of the best there is for ease of use and the same holds true when you access their modern smartphones for games, information and the like. Here are the top (read:favorite) apps I used in the Nokia: MMDA or the Metro Manila Development Authority app (Rating: 5/5) What can I say. ... Continue Reading...
