haponyuki Originally uploaded by annalyn. Yay! I am definitely going to Japan next week. Finally got my Japan visa today.. otherwise known as the visa others would die for, hehe. That means I will soon fulfill my dream of setting foot in The Land of the Rising Sun. In the meantime, I've been researching the Net for places to dine in, shop and see. Forgive me for gushing, but am all too excited with the fact that I'll be riding the bullet train, having a river cruise, and staying in this top hotel, among other things besides. Hopefully, I'll be able to ... Continue Reading...

8 countries I’ve been to and 8 countries I’d like to go to…right now!
There are only seven eight countries I've been to in my short but very adventurous lifetime. In no particular order, these are the United States, the United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, Germany, and Thailand. I don't know if this is fair or above-average by the middle class Filipino's standards but I am certainly lucky not to have spent for any of these travels. It simply went with the profession although I must note here that I had to twist an arm and a leg just to go to Europe (my close friends should know by now how I sailed the seven seas, so ... Fab places: Mt. Malarayat & Westin’s Poolside BBQ
Malarayat PoolOriginally uploaded by annalyn. Mother's Day found me chilling out with the kids at the sprawling Mt. Malarayat Golf & Country Club in Lipa City. I've heard positive comments about this place from some friends and so I was glad to experience it first hand. I was happy to find out they have the facilities to beat the summer blues away such as swimming pools, a 27-hole golf course and separate country clubs for kids and adults. The landscape was also breathtaking. The best part I think was staying at their newly established hotel which was built in time for ... Continue Reading...
Bridge in the middle of nowhere
Fontana bridgeOriginally uploaded by annalyn. Fontana Leisure Parks inside Clark Air Base in Pampanga is my kids' all-time favorite getaway. They were definitely in seventh heaven when we motored there yesterday (thanks Notty!)for a much-needed dip in the pool and basking in the sun.But my favorite scenery in the resort is this quaint bridge surrounded by giant trees ( a more fitting description escapes me at the moment.) Too bad I only brought my cellphone with me but looking at the pic, you'd have an idea how lovely this quiet nook in Fontana is, as seen from the ... Continue Reading...
