I flew to Seoul, Korea mid-February - a few weeks before the big mystery that is the missing Malaysian Airlines (MH) plane gained international attention. I was hardly pleased with Cathay Pacific that time for flying me to an Asian country after 17 hours (!!), with much waiting in between two airports. I thought I was better off going to Seoul on a stationary bike, LOL. But looking back now, it's better to arrive very late at your destination than to NEVER arrive, ouch. Just hoping they find MH 370 soon. Cathay or CX is one of my favorite airlines and I just ... Continue Reading...
Big Buddha + Ngong Ping cable car HK
I love it that everything runs smoothly in Hong Kong. After the hardship of going up, going down the mountain could only get better with well-paved trails and signs. The descent also got me closer to looking at the Big Buddha or the Tian Tian Buddha which I only got to admire from the postcards and pictures in the past. This pic even got me closer to the Buddha, but did not take anymore the flight of 268 steps. After the descent, I sort of magically landed in a park where the rest of the tourist civilization was :) In the park, there was a way going ... Continue Reading...
Staycation at the Dusit Thani Manila Club Floor

Gundam docks at Hong Kong!
More of HK: after the rubber ducky, there is a 'Gundam docks at Hong Kong!' exhibit ongoing at Times Square in Causeway Bay until Sept. 1. This is one to delight the kids, the young at heart and of course the countless fans of the Gundam series from all over. Are you? Char's Zaku towers at something like 23 feet. RX-78-2, also approximately 23 feet, just outside of Lane Crawford. It's the largest ever found outside of Japan where the biggest 59-foot model could be found. ... Continue Reading...
