In 2005, I was able to set foot in one of my dream countries, Japan, and one of my dream cities, Tokyo. "Lost in Translation" had quite an effect on me and I was more than happy to absorb Tokyo's glittering lights, even though we didn't have much of a night life to speak of. My pics of this trip was also misplaced in another Flickr account and it was only recently that I found it. Picture quality isn't so great either. Around this time, I was still lugging around my first digital camera which was a Kodak Easyshare (officially stolen). Still, they're good enough ... Continue Reading...
LP 52: Paboritong Litrato (Kalikasan)
Continue Reading...

Countries where the Philippine passport can take you, visa-free
A few of my girl friends who are married to foreigners have told me, not once, but a number of times that they will adopt their husbands' citizenship when the time comes, if only for the chance to change their passport.According to them, travelling between countries is a hassle when you're holding the Philippine passport. Visa and immigration officers tend to give one a hard time, a sad fact of life that comes with being the citizen of the Third World whose enterprising countrymen can come up with anything - from fake LVs to fake documents. Yes, including what am ... Continue Reading...
The airline wars: PAL or Cebu Pacific?
Over at Plurk yesterday, I asked my friends which airline they preferred - Philippine Airlines or Cebu Pacific - and the ensuing thread got a few interesting answers.Let us attempt to point their differences, one by one: Fares CebuPac: Cebu Pacific's aggressive marketing makes it appear that they're the budget airline to beat. Promos for seat sales are announced almost every week. There was only one time that I availed of their zero fare, and that was unluckily when Typhoon Milenyo struck. Ticket was non-refundable. Since then, I haven't booked for a CebuPac ... Continue Reading...
