Sheez, Manila is supposed to be Asia's "friendliest city" and when we say friendly, it means gay. And what could be gay-er than a visit to a gay bar!! :P I've brought a few foreign friends here and the most memorable part of their visit is not the hanging out in Makati's ritzy malls nor the sumptuous buffets in Manila's Chinese restos. No.... not even the calesa rides in Intramuros or roaming the length of Baywalk and Luneta. The highlight always is the trip to the gay bar where (aherrmm) pretty, sexy and independent women like us ogle at well-endowed men in their ... Continue Reading...
Kalesa (horse-drawn carriage), Manila

Besides, I live and work in Manila so I have no choice but to love it back. I've made this list to convince myself of its virtues. Your contributions ... Continue Reading...

I've tried almost all of the hotel buffets in Metro Manila and I was glad I finally got to sample the one at New World (now Renaissance Makati City Hotel) over a business meeting last week. Renaissance is a five-star hotel strategically located in front of the swanky Greenbelt Mall. It has also established quite a reputation with me as the hotel with "the most paranoid security check" this side of the city. But that's another story. ... Continue Reading...
