Scene from 'The Notebook', .I bought The Notebook paperback five years ago but only got to read it over the weekend in preparation for watching the movie of the eponymous title. After doing both, I am of the opinion that both works are not as outstanding as my favorite "Message in a Bottle." But "The Notebook" is still worth reading/watching if only for the realization that true love is not a rare commodity but is still possible, in this day and age. When we are young and healthy,we take love for granted and segregate it behind our careers and other carefree concerns. We ... Decisions, decisions
My favorite song right now is The Reason by Hoobastank:xxxi'm not a perfect person. there are many things i wish i didnt doxxxbut i continue learning. i never meant to do those things to you.xxxand so i have to say before i go, that i just want you to knowxxxi've found a reason for me, to change who i used to bexxxa reason to start over new, and the reason is youI am on the verge of making an important decision and as all decisions go, I am torn between the Scylla and Charibdes. It was simpler when we were young: this lollipop or that candy? It got complicated when we ... Homebody Saturday
Time was when Saturdays stood for my insecurities and fears. I had to go out.I had to be on the move.I had to be on a date, dine out, party the night away, have coffee with friends...till Sunday morning arrives and I would be wasted. Hoard mentality
I learned a couple of words from Encarta yesterday. Some of these are: garbology, "the study of waste materials," and defenestrate, "to throw something or somebody out of window." Usage: "I felt like a defenestrated object a few weeks ago but now am fully recycled and don't feel otiose at all." Otiose, my dear friends, means "worthless."Am reminded of garbology because our corporate office is moving its headquarters to a five-star hotel nearby and all of us are in a frenzy packing our things. The morning had accounting clerks putting inventory tags on our office ... Continue Reading...
