There was an invite from the sanitary napkin brand Jeunesse Anion for a morning of fun, food at fitness at the Marriott Manila. It was something I easily said YES to. I mean, who can refuse fun...food...and fitness .... happening in a five-star hotel, right? And most especially because the highlight of the morning was a famous exercise that's close to my heart....zumba! It wasn't just any Zumba session session because our instructor was the beautiful celebrity host and performer Regine Tolentino. Regine is one of the recognized Zumba teachers in the Philippines. ... GuavaPass MNL offers variety of fitness classes for only P2,999 a month!
There's no denying that the Philippines is undergoing a fitness revolution right now, Manila being a good example. The variety of fitness classes being offered is mind-boggling, not to mention the slew of new gyms being put up. From running & Zumba to yoga to cross-fit to Pilates, name it..we've got it. Indoor cycling & indoor rowing classes at Saddlerow Serendra
Indoor cycling was my exercise of choice in 2015 and last Christmas break I happily tried out a new studio that just opened also in Bonifacio Global City. Its name is Saddlerow and it doesn't just offer spinning classes but indoor rowing as well. Although I started in Electric Studio, Saddlerow has its own appeal. It is smaller (and thus more intimate) They share the reception area and toilet/shower area with Beyond Yoga. Unlike the other studio I attend, you also have to bring your own towel and buy your water. The upside is that Saddlerow rates are ... Continue Reading...
First time in Bali for the Fitness Weekend 2015!
I sorely needed an excuse to go to the island-paradise of Bali. For starters, I haven't been to Indonesia...and Bali is the place to be, for sure! So when my friend Emilie, a licensed Zumba instructor, invited me to join her for the Bali Fitness Weekend, I said 'go!' without hesitation. Holiday plus a fitness weekend where all you do is exercise wasn't such a bad idea. In fact, it's like hitting two birds with one stone! :) A little background: I really enjoyed going to Zumba classes this year. As I've found out in indoor cycling, working out with a group is the ... Continue Reading...
Indoor cycling is the new fitness at Electric Studio Philippines
Indoor cycling is the exercise program that got me hooked in 2015. It all started last April when a work colleague clued me in on this invite only pop-up cycling studio in Makati that was offering a free trial class. The word FREE was enough to make email the folks of Electric Studio for a slot. I didn't have have an inkling that I was asking for free punishment as well, LOL. There was too much pain after my first ride with the Electric folks, maybe because my muscles were a bit rusty from sitting too much in the office all day. For one week, I winced every time ...
