Our visit to Cartoon Network Amazone was one of the highlights of our recent trip to Pattaya, Thailand. It was part of Royal Cliff Beach Hotel‘s Stay and Play package which guests and families can avail of when they check in.The package includes stay in a suite room, VIP passes to the water park with special discounts on the purchase of food, beverage and items in the retail shop, among other benefits.
There was a van transfer to the water park at the rate of only 100 baht per person. I found this very convenient since the park was a few kilometers away from Royal Cliff hotel.
Upon arriving, we didn’t anymore have to brave the queue since the package organizer took of that. We posed by these characters at the entrance…
As their brochure said, Cartoon Network Amazone is the world’s first Cartoon Network water park. It is not some clone, but built by CN itself. As expected, it was huge and you should allot a whole day here because the kids will never have enough.
The main area ideal for kids up to 8 years old was the Cartoonival. It had all these fun water slides, fountains and tubes.
Aside from using the slides, we really enjoyed the Megawave. A nice touch were the lifebuoys with CN characters in them. We were also required to wear life jackets because the waves got really huge…but it was so much fun 🙂
There was quite a line at the Surf Arena, which simulates surfing at the beach. And we also have this now in Manila.
The Omniverse Zone isn’t really for the faint-hearted (well, that’s me). It is home to six of the fastest, steepest water coasters in the world. But oh, it really looks like a giant adrenaline rush up there
One of the best things about Cartoon Network Amazone is the Meet & Greet with the characters….
like the Powerpuff Girls!
Chowder…
and the rest of the gang.
I love how organized everything was.
This was the Retail Shop where you can buy Cartoon Network items and souvenirs. I wished there were more choices.
These were the colorfully-designed eating areas. The main hall was called Foodville which served a variety of cuisines, from Korean to Italian and American. The prices were affordable too.
The lounging areas were free and we just put our bags here instead of renting lockers. I thought the whole area was relatively safe.
Overall, it was a great adventure visiting Cartoon Network Amazone. I thought Pattaya was just a beach and party place, but it turns out there’s something for kids too!
