I agree with what the health experts say: breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Can’t miss it! This is actually one of those times when I’d go fastfood. The uber-affordable prices in the leading chains has made dining out an affordable option. As parents or office workers, no longer are we so harassed to bring out those pans and kettles because we just have to buzz the Drive-Thru and it will be ready in two minutes.
There was actually a time when I was late for work and waited through traffic while rushing to eat corned beef, egg and garlic rice with a plastic spoon from a styrofoam container. And where did I buy that? Good ol’ Jollibee! The variety of their choices is simply the best there is. Actually, one of my favorites is their pancake sandwich – a pair of yummy hotcakes placed over a round-shaped scrambled egg and their trademark patty. You can also order extra cheese.
It is interesting to note that the breakfast revolution has been brought about by the rise in the number of call centers in Metro Manila. In areas near these centers, Jollibee is offering brekkie as early as midnight, or 12:01 a.m. Breakfast hours last until 11 a.m. Jollibee actually now has more 24-hours outlets than the competition.
Of course, in times like these, I couldn’t resist having my pic taken with the Jolly Mascot because he’s 100% Filipino and (almost) a national icon. Thumbs up!
