By Tito Rolly’s reckoning, this must be the fifth time we are meeting our fellow bloggers this year and I have to admit…it’s getting to be a tradition! This time around, we were set to welcome the lovely Tintin who is based in Texas and migrated to the US when she was 10 years old. Tin regaled us with stories about her life in the Cowboy State with hubby and how big the food servings there are. Likewise, it was my first time to meet the oh-so-charming Toni of “Wifely Steps” and prolific poet Jardine Davies. Cool momma Mrs. P, Mec and Tito Rolly I’ve met before but it’s always fun,fun,fun getting together with them again.
After our last EB’s calorie-inducing buffet at Dad’s, we decided to it a la carte this time at Pots n’ Noodles in Megamall, upon the recommendation of the great Batjay who said their Pata Tim with Cuapao was to die for. We couldn’t agree more! Also on the menu that night was the Crispy Shrimps,Fried Squid, Native Lettuce with Garlic, Tofu with Black Beans and lotsa Fruit Shakes.Yay! It seems obvious that we like to eat but more than that, we also talk about blogging (as if we don’t have enough) with lots of jokes and laughter in between and coffee afterwards. Totally wholesome and awesome!
It would be a blast meeting my other fellow bloggers and readers in the future. As I told Toni, it’s nice to put a “face” to all the online communication and patrons of the Net will always be connected in one way or the other even though they’re far apart in time and space.
What’s critical in EBs is the social connection people have with one another. Our blogkada is really special in the sense that we all respect one another, we’re all out to have a good clean time and we’re all on the same wavelength. Our personalities vary but complement one another. This is why I think the Blogging Berks is such a fantastic group.
