Social media has changed a lot how common people interacted with celebrities. The latter has become accessible more than ever and can even delight their fans with constant real-time updates. Because of this, the public can have a peek at the lives of very important people in society. It’s either a good or bad thing that we can aspire to be like the stars just because they’re now so visible.
The world’s top selling water Aquafina decided to take things a notch further by launching the #BestBeginsNow campaign. It tapped prominent personalities to inspire the youth of today on how pursuing your passions and giving it your best shot can get one to the top.
And for this campaign, there is no better example than Aquafina’s main endorser, former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach. As we all know, Pia struggled in showbiz, was her family’s breadwinner and joined Binibining Pilipinas several times before she became a huge success.
Considering all her setbacks, Pia can only say: “Am just glad I didn’t give up on my dreams or I wouldn’t be here right now.I kept telling myself it will all make sense one day. I look back at my difficult life two to three years ago, all those things just makes me appreciate the present and plan the future.”
Like Pia, Aquafina Philippines brand manager Melai Lazaro-Javier believes that “becoming your best starts with small steps. We understand it takes hard work and commitment to get there so we want to help inspire people to start living the best version of themselves. Delaying is not an option because your best begins now”.
Other personalities who joined Pia in talking about beauty and confidence in the #BestBeginsNow launch in Glorietta were top fashion designer Francis Libiran, athlete/reigning Miss Globe Philippines 2018 Michelle Gumabao, beauty queen maker Jonas Gaffud and celebrity makeup artist Albert Kurniawan.
I went to the content creation booth and just in time caught Hey Handsome chef Nicco Santos and food stylist Chichi Tullao explain about preparing and plating food to make it truly Instagrammable. We got to taste Chef Nicco’s awesome-tasting dishes too.
Businesswoman Martine Cajucom of the Sunnies brand spoke about personal branding and how one could use it to advantage.Meanwhile, seasoned hosts/DJs Sam YG and Suzy Gamboa elaborated on maintaining composure during live shows and keeping the conversation flowing, among other tips.
It was a great afternoon being star-struck and listening to the stars give enlightening talks on self-improvement and other positive, educational matters. Thank you Aquafina! 🙂
