I stayed up late tonight to blog, and caught the last leg of the annual Binibining Pilipinas pageant just in time. Before then, my friend Ojie told me the top title will already go to Candidate No. 11 Krista Kleiner but she turned out to be the Bb. Pilipinas International.
The top plum of the night, Bb. Pilipinas-Universe, went to an unknown – Ma. Venus Raj who stands at five feet nine and is described in her bio to be working as an information assistant for DENR Region 4. She had vital stats to die for though, and I knew what made her win – the 22 inch waistline! 😀 phew!

Crowned Bb. Pilipinas World was Candidate No. 21, Czarina Catherine Gatbonton who was also the Manila Bulletin Readers’ Choice (yehay!) She’s an HRM grad and 5 feet 10 and a half inches tall.
Bb. Pilipinas International is early crowd favorite Krista Mae Kleiner, a TV personality and psychology grad who holds a blackbelt in taekwondo. She’s also 5’10 1/2 inches tall.
Overall, this year’s candidates are a good batch, and most of all, nobody bungled the question and answer portion 😀 Carla Abellana, who emceed together with Dingdong Dantes, was also a revelation because she as pretty and articulate. Blame it on me because I don’t watch TV that much. Til next year’s pageant!

What happened to Candidate No.18 who was the ealry favorite and got almost all the special awards???
During the Q/A she also did very well (BEAUTY AND BRAIN) she should have crowned one of those 3 titles. Is it because she is not as tall of those 3 who won the title. Suprisingly No. 21 was crowned as Bb. Pilipinas World – i could not remember exactly the question asked to her – If you are to live another life, what would you want to be? or who you want to be? Ang sagot nya ay gusto kong maging isang puno ………… among the candidates most of them did very well, for me no.21 did not give a very good answer kahit na nagtagalog pa siya sa question. I think she won becuase of her height at pagiging kayumanggi (pinay na pinay ang dating), so I realized mababa pala ang Q/A criteria.
she’s definitely hot. I swear!!! I was there live witnessing the pageant and she really stood up and reign!!!
Best Pick goes to Bb Pilipinas Universe, Maria Venus Raj. Wrong pick for Bb Pilipinas World (Gatbon whatever!) and Ex deal (Exchange Deal) pick for Bb Pilipinas International for Krista Kleiner. There are a lot of beautiful ladies out there but Krista’s the manok of GMA7.

It is time to look for original filipinas. The half-breds does not live to our expectations. What should b gven emphasis though is the personality and projection internationally.

Best answer: One big mistake that I did in my life was my failure to settle my questionable birth record beforehand, that temporarily took hold of my crown as Bb. Filipinas Universe. Furthermore, almost ban me to represent the Philippines to this contest.
So, what I did is to work for all of the pertinent documents that prove that I am a legitimate Filipino citizen.
I agree with you Rey. She should have given her answer the real DRAMA. I guess Venus was just too happy being in Vegas. She forgot her big problem (dethronement) back home) 😛
