Filipino Food While in San Pablo, I simply had to check out Kusina Salud for all the raves I've been hearing about its food. It didn't seem easy going here and it's probably a must that you have your own vehicle. Kusina is designer Patis Tesoro's country home now converted into a crafts and culinary destination. The huge compund also houses an aviary and art gallery but since it was pitch dark when we went here, we weren't able to view these. The overall theme of the place is "eclectic" as it hosts the owners' antique furnitures and other collectibles gained ... Continue Reading...
Home at last! in Tahanan ni Aling Meding
Tahanan ni Aling Meding I am in San Pablo City as a guest of the Tahanan ni Aling Meding which is by far the most heavenly place I've stayed in a long time. Why is this so? Because it is not as stiff as a hotel and boasts of the comfort of home while providing all the amenities you need as a valued guest. The State of Philippine Blogging: Alive & Kickin’
iBloggers As a blogger and as a writer who writes about bloggers, I simply had to attend the 2nd Philippine Blogging Summit (iBlog2) in faraway UP Diliman Quezon City today. I didn't regret it one bit, as I was able to see some of my online friends and discover new ones.Too bad I wasn't able to linger much as I was too worried about the traffic going home (it was past 5 p.m. already and the affair wasn't finished yet). Photo shows some of the bloggers I saw: columnist Dean Bocobo, Atty. Marvin Aceron, lawyer Punzi, Mike Villar of The Man Blog and RonAllan. ... Continue Reading...
Deliciously cheap: Moud’s Chicken Halal, Quiapo
chicken halal Originally uploaded by annalyn. You are likely to stumble into Moud's Chicken Halal if you are one of those avidly scouring Quiapo for counterfeit DVDs of Jewel in the Palace and such. Even so, there are no signs announcing that you have arrived in Moud's except that the line is long and there's a big rotisserie grill roasting dozens of their golden-brown chicken. ...
