Baywalk2. Baywalk1. So Manila's famed Baywalk is no more. The business establishments have been torn down, I mean; not those pretty lollipop lights which Manila's feisty mayor should do well to maintain - even if it reminds him of a political era gone by. I have never been a fan of the Baywalk in the first place, even if it held a character of its own. There was just something improper about drinking beer in a place and then when your bladder is starting to act up (like I do when I drink beer) there is no decent ... Continue Reading...
Dimsum decadence at Li Li’s Sunday brunch buffet
lily table set up. Define y-u-m-m-y. Let us count the ways. At Li Li, the exquisite Cantonese restaurant of the Hyatt Hotel & Casino Manila , yummy is defined in more than 50 different ways, or at least the 50 or more dishes that comprise its Sunday brunch buffet. The rules are simple: Just comment on the post, blog about it, Stumble it!, and/or contribute at least two articles to the blog. Why am I doing this? Because I want my copy too! :P Thanks in advance Melo:) Zee has clued me in on this interesting contest by Nestle Philippines on how Nescafe ... Continue Reading...
Presscon, class reunion, despedida etc.
My social calendar has been full. First on the agenda was the class reunion of our UST AB Journalism Batch XX in Benjo's Makati Condo. We had fun recalling old times, loading on red wine, singing to death and yours truly was endlessly being teased "Juju, may boobs ka na?!" (gosh, may kambal pa nga eh). Carol even brought her old albums reminiscent of padded shoulders, Kung Fu shoes and Aqua Net hairspray. .A big shout-out to our batchmates living abroad: please make your presence felt and join our YahooGroups ...
