Royal FrieslandCampina (RFC) is one of the world’s Top 5 dairy companies with over 130 years of experience in producing milk. It is composed of dairy cooperatives with about 19,224 member-farmers from European countries like Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium.
RFC recently firmed up its foothold in the Philippines by entering into a solid partnership with Alaska Milk Corporation (AMC), whose 40 years in the local market has made it one of the country’s leading milk brands.
RFC’s tie-up with Alaska can only be good news for Filipino dairy consumers considering Royal Friesland Campina’s exacting manufacturing process and its proven track record in producing the best-quality milk in the verdant natural environments of Europe.
RFC prides itself in its Grass to Glass process which carries with it the gold standard in milk production – from farming, milking, collecting, processing, packaging and all the way to distribution – all with utmost consideration for food safety, quality, and nurturing the most ideal environment for the cows which produce the milk.
” The cows graze on nothing but the freshest, cleanest grass across farmlands six hours a day, 120 days a year. In some farms, the water is analyzed more frequently but the minimum requirement is, at least, once a year to ensure that there are no contaminants or water-borne diseases the animals could catch,” RFC representatives said in a launch event at Solaire Casino Grand Ballroom in Paranaque City.
After milking, eight quality parameters must be fulfilled to ensure adherence
to RFC’s standards of quality. Checks are made on temperature and color, bacterial count, antibiotics, etc. Each batch of milk is then assigned a code for safety monitoring before being transported and exported to over 100 countries in the world.
