For those of you who follow the comments in this blog, The Ajay has been sought for an interview by The Amol Sharma for The Wall Street Journal in Teh New York City.
But rather than inquire about stocks, bonds and securities ( of which I know nothing about), I’ve been asked about my personal experience with Friendster in reference to a previous post on this site. Honestly, I don’t have an idea what kind of story angle the reporter is pursuing. All I know is that I have a love-hate relationship with Friendster and the only thing that’s keeping me from deleting my account altogether is the bizarre pleasure I get from keeping ex-boyfriend(s) in my friends’ list, seeing ex-boyfriend with his arms around present girlfriend, how someone feels so pretty being buried under tons of make-up while you’re thinking how terrible she looks, seeing ex-classmates now carrying their babies plus how different they look from years ago. Of late, somebody has messaged me to ask about a job opening (!!) and more of the girls it seems are baring their tummies which reminds me that the long, hot summer season is here. Of course, there are still who pin their hopes in meeting dates through Friendster of which I must say ‘good luck to you.’ According to this article, F and Myspace are giving online dating sites like Yahoo Personals and Match.com a run for their money. If you have any other Friendster opinion or experience, be kind enough to share them with me.

well…. I don’t have against with friendster…I don’t care to see my ex with someone else’s arms now… and I don’t look for a date either! Di ako nakikisali sa mga ganyan. I like friendster to track all of my classmates since way back elementary times. How much we grown up…iba na kasi ang mga itsura, kung may mga asawa na sila at ano na ang ginagawa nila at nasan na sila… you know, there are still people who don’t join with their stupid “pakulo”

Ajay,
I don’t have any use for the friendster, yahoo personals, match.com or myspace. I’m too old of a rooster to go searching for a new lovelife. Maybe if all this site exsisted back in 1983 I probably use it and met someone other than my ex-wife from Mandaluyong after five years of a wasted married life. But then it’s only a big “maybe”
blowing in my mind. I think all the above websites are for the desperados and desporadas longing to meet someone the easy way in their life. I like it the old fashion
way .

Thank you for your inputs friends. It is interesting to know that Friendster has become the prime social networking cum dating site. But speaking from experience, hoping to find someone special on Friendster or on the net is like relying on a PAGASA weather report; the men are simply unreliable. In fairness though, I check Friendster for my friends’ latest pictures and blog updates, whatever:wink:

i rarely open my friendster account before, pero recently minamaximize ko ang friendster to promote my official blog, but it looks like friendster won’t help; I find friendster users aren’t fond of reading some good stories; they just love to see pictures.

Ayos lang. But I really wish I didn’t bother to (creating my own Friendster acct). But it’s too late. My closest friends might say i’m a recluse or something if I delete my acct. there.

Melai, am one of those fond of scanning Friendster for pictures, lol, pero not the x-rated ones ha:wink:
Yes Karl, just when I was on the verge of doing it (deleting I mean), I thought sayang naman to delete 215 friends and my testimonials, hehe. In fairness, it has been a channel where old friends have found me and we’ve linked up again

im a new member to Friendster, just barely a month. For the longest time, I hesitated to join but after receiving almost 20 friend requests to my email, I folded in. Anyway, it has been good so far, i was able to establish a contact with a good friend that I have been looking for so long.

Sha & Owen… as I said so:wink: Hope to find you in Friendster one of these days
