This just in. One of our favorite shoe brands, VNC (or Vincci of Malaysia) is on sale! It gets on a shopping madness with half the price on their present trendy styles, plus an irresistible 70 per cent off on their other models.Guess this poster says it all:

VNC Midyear Sale

My flavor of the month, the black strappy sandals, were procured from a recent VNC sale so I should remember to check out more. I love how this brand fits in my feet so comfortably, plus they have the most stylish designs. The sale should also include bags, so all the more reason to hurry!

VNC branches are located in Robinsons Galleria, Glorietta 3, Robinsons Place Manila, SM Mall of Asia, SM Megamall, Trinoma, Alabang Town Center, Shangri-La Plaza Mall, and SM North EDSA Annex.

I finally tried Lay Bare waxing salon today. It’s a franchised chain in Metro Manila specializing in the waxing of all kinds of body hair, including eyebrows, facial hair and the one down under :P . I was on the lookout for a spa specializing in semi-Brazilian/bikini wax and it’s just good that they have two branches in the city where we live.

I was ushered into a room with a neat bed and the robe I was supposed to wear all bundled up in a cute ribbon. The tall lamp was the only thing that scared me as it suddenly reminded me of an operating room. But I guess the stylist needs that to see clearly, LOL.

Lay Bare

Even though this is my third time to do this sort of waxing, I still get scared at the prospect of being in pain. Mind you, the pain is tolerable (especially for someone like me who’s given birth already), but it still hurts anyway.Especially in the part where the attendant suddenly thugs at your body hair and you can feel your skin tingle.

Eastwood Mall

I just can’t help but be impressed with Eastwood Mall’s Enviro-Chic bag, designed by Rajo Laurel.  We gotta love our own, and it’s the nicest of the eco-friendly, recyclable bags I’ve seen. Yes, even better than Anya Hindmarch’s  I Am Not a Plastic Bag.

And it’s all for a good cause. The handy tote bags were created by the women of Payatas (known as Quezon City’s dumpsite) under the Rags 2 Riches Business Enterprise. Look at the nifty bag handle. They were woven together using rag materials, the kind of doormat used in Filipino homes. In reality, they’re clothing materials left over from garment manufacturers and fashioned into these lovely works of art.
