It’s day three of no water, no electricity in our house.
We’ve stepped out of the comforts of the hotel already. My very young son couldn’t help but say in his usual candid way. “This is the worst thing that’s happened in my life!”
“What about you mom, what’s the worst thing that happened to you?,” he queries.
“Lots, Lots,” was all I could say. How could I choose between losing my cellphones one after the other or having to bring up three kids in this world alone? There’s no comparison between all the things I have to bear day by day, the difference is just in the manner that you take it … all the challenging things that life blows your way.
So much of negativity. We are now cooling our heels in the mall and my kids are playing in the arcade forgetting momentarily that this worse/worst thing has happened. So this is life!

sana nga maka recover na kaagad yung mga nasalanta ng hagupit ng bagyo. dami pa rin walang kuryente at bubong ng bahay. nawawala pa rin yung ba nilang kaanak. mapalad pa rin tayo dahil safe tayo kahit paano.

Just got electricity & watr in the house this morning at 4 am (Sunday).
I didn’t thought of going to a hotel! Shame on me!

Yes Iskoo, we’re still lucky. Up to this time some places are still without power and water. Glad it came back in our area yesterday. Rex, yes..the comment/question from my son kinda threw me off guard

Wow it must be terrible for your kids.When L was a little girl, she said she hated the coup (then in 1989) because she couldn’t watch cartoons. They have their own “worst” definition. We adults have gone through a lot. Hope you have electricity by now.

having no water for the last few days was the pits! it was worse than having no electricity at all.
and i hate the fact that we had to haul out all our perishables from the ref and put them into styro iceboxes to keep them from getting spoiled. i gave meralco a piece of my mind telling them if they would like to reimburse my food because of their stupidity.
